weekend road-update
during busy weekends the city closes some of the roads into the centre, this
can make navigating into the city for those volunteered to map read very tricky,
follow the diversion signs and contact the hotel for the latest information
on road closures prior to travelling. we are working with the tourist office
to gain some better updates which will follow as soon as possible.
Directions
for Car Parks The Royal hotel has agreements for discounted parking at the
following NCP Car Parks
Westgate Street Car Park.
On entering Westgate street and take the first left turn into
the NCP. On exit from the car park turn left into Westgate street
and the hotel entrance is a two minute walk, at the bottom of the
road on the left hand side.
Wood Street Car Park
Continue past the hotel and Edwards bar on your left hand side.
At the traffic lights turn left, then immediate right at the next
set of lights and stay in the right hand lane. At the next set
of lights turn right (you will see the railway station and its
car park on your left). Follow the road round to the right and
you will see the entrance to the NCP on your left.
directions - rail cardiff central station
theroyalhotel is 300yds from
cardiff central station. exit the station and walk straight ahead
for 100 yds to the main road. you will see a large building
on the right across the road, on the corner of westgate street
and st mary street, with O'Neils bar on the ground floor (blue
sign). the
entrance to the hotel is on the left side of the building, just
past the entrance to edwards bar.
